SEAT Unveils First Electric Vehicle – The Mii electric
SEAT has revealed details about the SEAT Mii electric – the brand’s very first electric vehicle. It was first introduced in Oslo at the SEAT On Tour Event last week.
The Mii electric is now even more perfect for city driving, boasting a mix of dynamic performance and an impressive range of 260km (WLTP). The focus of the model is to create an affordable and accessible model, which has low ownership costs as well as impressive amounts of new connectivity to keep up with the new generation of customer.
Luca de Meo, President of SEAT commented “The market is changing, and electrification is expanding at an unprecedented rate. In Europe, the electric vehicle market grew by 46% in the first 4 months of the year, moving forward we expect electrified vehicles to play an important role within our range. The Mii electric is the start of that journey, and at the same time brings to the market an affordable electric car.”
The Mii electric’s compact dimensions mean greater agility round every turn and stress-free parking. The model’s exterior has been refreshed with electric lettering on the rear, electric stickers on the side and 16” alloy wheels. Inside, the modern dashboard is complemented by ambient lighting, sporty and heated seats, black sport leather steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake. Lane Assist also comes as standard.
This is the first SEAT model to include SEAT CONNECT, which provides remote access to the management of the vehicle. Customers will be able to access driving data, parking position, vehicle status, door and lights and even air conditioning all from their smartphone.
Personalisation is available thanks to a choice of two trim levels with five optional equipment packs: Garage, Easy Flex, Below Zero, Home Charge and FAST (DC Charging). What’s more, five colour choices are available: Deep Black, Candy White, Tornado Red, Costa Blue and Tungsten Silver.
The Mii electric’s motor is linked to a single speed transmission providing 83PS of power and 212Nm of torque instantly, meaning it can power from 0 – 50km in just 3.9 seconds.
This exciting new model is the first of many all-electric vehicles planned for the SEAT range, with the introduction of the all-electric SEAT el-Born, plus plug-in hybrid versions of the Tarraco and Leon coming in the near future. Pre-sales of the Mii electric will start in September.
